“Shards of Yesterday’s Dream” : Hiroshima, Japan, 17th December 2011
I ventured out into the cold on Saturday for a photo shoot with the initial idea being to take pictures (abstracts) at each station along the monorail which links Hiroshima’s northern suburbs with the centre.
Pretty soon, however, I found that it was far more fruitful to actually follow the route of the transport artery outside on foot, and I survived for a few kilometres before the temperatures forced me to seek shelter in a branch of my favourite burger joint.
The session proved extremely productive, resulting in quite a number of satisfyingly abstract and industrial images, like this rusty post with more recent additions to Japan’s technological spaghetti in the foreground…

I love photos like this.
Me too! I’m getting back to my abstract roots!
