“Portuguese Pole” : Porto, 9th September 2011
Since the skies were still a uniform dull grey thanks to a blanket of low cloud, I had my work cut out for on my first day in Porto looking for suitable photographic targets.
After leaving the largely disappointing market I mentioned in an earlier post, I headed down into the centre of the historic town and was lucky enough to find an old turn-of-the-century hall replete with cast iron metal supports inside, all lovingly restored and now an art space.
I can’t claim I was too enamoured with all the modern art exhibits on display, but I certainly admired the beauty of this vermilion gem of yesteryear.
