“Amber Hall” : Tokyo, 18th March 2012
Still at the Tokyo National Art Centre : here you can appreciate the sheer scale of the building with these cavernous spaces glowing in the amber tones of the natural wood fittings and surfaces.
A truly grand piece of architecture…

“Glass Wave” : Tokyo, 18th March 2012
Another great architectural institution of Tokyo is the National Art Centre in Roppongi.
This was my first visit, and this astonishing building didn’t disappoint. Like a giant glass wave, the interior was so overwhelming that once again I didn’t even bother seeing the actual art exhibitions contained within, and just spent my time taking endless pictures of the incredible vistas inside, accentuated by the wide-angle lens I employed here…
